Since our Live Stream is down for the moment, I figured I’d share these short clips of the chicks under direct supervision of Tofu the cat. She really does make a great baby-sitter, as long as she herself is being watched. These were shot on my phone, so please disregard the quality.

OK ok, she is back
Luke spotted Tofu as he was pulling in the driveway. He beeped after she ran behind the barn and I came running out looking for her. She ran into the basement of the barn where we were able to corner her. She jumped into the rafters and Luke had to pull her down and carry her in the house. She is skinny and dirty, but we are happy to have her home!

Happenings in the field
This past week we got our carrots, lettuce, spinach, arugula in the ground. I’ve also been potting up the tomato and pepper seedlings. We planted 10 of the 14 fruit trees we ordered, including peach, pear, cherry, and apple. Special thanks to Caitlin Malone for her help digging holes with me. We will post pictures soon. In other news, Tofu the kitty must be on the adventure of a lifetime. She has gone missing for the past two nights and we are starting to worry! I hope she is waiting for me on the porch.
